The Hiatus is Over!

I'm back!!! A year and two days after sweet Grayson was born I've decided my bloggin hiatus is over!! It's going to take some planning and a bit of effort, but I've definitely missed blogging and living a virtual trail of our lives out there for the world to see!

I now have a spunky, energetic one year old who provides daily smiles and silliness, and a wonderful husband who is busy trucking his way through college courses to help our future, while continuing to build our family and our wonderful-beautiful-crazy life as three ( plus a pup)!!

This is our life with our Precious Cargo! Ready, set, here I go!!!

Family Dispute...

It all comes down to one BIG question....

WHO IS THE BEST SEC TEAM?

AUBURN or UGA

Such a simple question if you ask Grayson and I :) We know Auburn is the best team of ALL!!! Buuuuttt, his daddy disagrees with us :( He is a bulldogs fan, and as much as I don't like it... we try to play fair in this home...

So Saturdays are full of waredrobe changes for Grayson. If Georgia is playing at 3:30pm and Auburn isn't playing until 7pm...

Grayson starts out the day dressing like this:

But by 7pm his Daddy is sweet enough to dress him like this:

It'll be up to him to decide in a few years what battle cry he wants to scream *cough* WAR EAGLE!!! *cough*

One Month Old

I'm a little late posting this, but I need to do it now before we're already at TWO Months!

Sweet Grayson,

You're already a month old!! And oooohhh how you've grown and changed. Every ay your daddy and I continue to try and decide who you look most like. You have your daddy's chin and full lips, and mommy's nose and ears. You are the sweetest boy I've ever met in my life! I know I'm biased, but I mean it! You are already smiling when we talk to you, and you love looking around at lights. I've noticed lately you've started trying to focus in on the sounds you hear, and are starting to turn your eyes toward daddy's voice and mine.

You've become a healthy eater, and have gone through many phases of sleep cycles! The first few weeks you slept like a champ-- we're working on getting you back there! I think you're just too interested in this new world to sleep very much.

The faces you make are adorable!!! You love having your picture taken. You sit patiently and make sweet faces for mommy to send your Grandma, Granddad, Grandpop, aunties, uncles and cousins. Everyone who meets you says you're such a beautiful boy. They all fall in love with you immediately. I can't blame them baby boy, You are one unique little one.

I love each of your ten fingers and each of your ten toes. Your wavy brown hair and sweet little noses. I love those eyes that seem to be turning brown, and the heart of gold that is growing every day!

We love you sweet Grayson! Happy One Month to You!

Apple Festival- 1st Big Outting

Well, We finally decided to get Grayson out and about to let him see this beautiful world he has been born into! We still didn't want to take him to a busy indoor place, so when Jacob heard about the Apple Festival the first two weeks in October, we decided it was the ideal first outting!

Here are just a few photos from our adventure to the GA mountains:

Our Little Family

My mama, G's Grandma, enjoying the festival

The gyros were HUGE and sooooo good! They were even better washed down with Rootbeer straight from a keg in metal mugs :)

G and I riding the bus back to our car. He was tuckered out, but had hung in there all day!

We were lucky enough to have Skye, Mia, Laura, & Chaz go with us too!

It was a great trip and I'm so glad that we decided to bite the bullet and take a little adventure with G! The weather was a little toasty, and breastfeeding at a fair was interest, but we had a blast! So many more adventures to come!

How did we get graced with Grayson?--

This sweet little bundle couldn't be more precious. I look at him so much and just think, "God, how did you choose us? Are you sure you made the right choice? He's so perfect and I'm... not. Did you know what you were doing when you chose me?"

I know without a shadow of a doubt I would give my life for him! I wondered for nine months if I would feel that love for him right away that you always hear parents try to describe. Parents always say, "I've never loved someone the way I fell in love with my children the moment I saw them," and I completely understand that now!

How is it possible to love someone soooo much I've only held for a week in my arms? It even changes the way I sit and think about how God loves us unconditionally. It's truly an undescribable love.

Every morning I pray for Grayson to God that I'll be shown how to raise him up as a child of God. He is the most precious gift I've ever had in my life, and I want him to know just how wonderful his God is who created him.

We were Graced with Grayson for certain!!

First Bath Time!

Scrub a dub dub! There's a GRAYSON in the tub!

Well... sink to be exact! This little wiggler LOVES his bathtime! He's as happy as a clam as long as there's warm water in the tub.

The second the water is gone though... he wants out!!!

Squeaky clean baby!

72 Hour iPhone4 Luv

In the last 72 hours after Grayson's birth I realized something... This phone is amazing! Quick ability to capture 1day old Grayson, can use flip view camera to check if he's still breathing while laying on my chest, easy to hold both he and the phone, portable lullaby player, can track moment by moment account of actions on facebook and a fantastic time keeper for next "dinner and dessert"!

Friday night, about 24hrs before we met Grayson, Jacob and I stopped at Best Buy on our way home from mexican. We had been putting off for weeks ordering/buying a new camera ( I sorta got his wet on our honeymoon, and the cover to the lens on mine won't open). We knew we would be taking my big fancy camera with us to the hospital, but we needed something compact and more point-and-shoot for the whole labor and delivery process....

Turns out we probably took just as many photos on our iPhones as we did on the new Olympus camera!!! The iPhone 4 was soooo great to have! We were able to take quality, in focus, moment-capturing photos the minute Grayson was born. I see many, many posts in the future incorporating iphone photos of our beautiful little man!

We love you sweet sweet one! <3
